Elegant Floral Wedding At Belle Garden Estate

A color filled, mountain wedding of your dreams, this Belle Garden Estate wedding was made up of all the most perfectly designed purple and pink floral arrangements, mixed with one of Roanoke’s best hidden gem venues and a killer vendor team. Rachel and Zeke were a couple I knew would be unique and full of creativity from the start. They were not interested in an all white and black traditional style wedding, which is why they made intentional choices on their vendors and selected me to capture their details with a timeless, true to color wedding photography style.

The Details: 

I’m not sure I have ever met a couple as unique as Rachel and Zeke. They included all their favorite things throughout the day including galaxy patterned converses, star wars themed touches, watercolor invitations, and all things floral. To top it off Rachel had stunning hair and makeup done by Elegance Artistry that had perfect pops of purple to match their decor and a statement floral crown. 

After Rachel put on her stunning dress, we then executed two amazing first looks with her father and grandfather both bringing a few tears to our eyes. Then we made sure to have some private moments with mom to put on jewelry and hang out with the bridesmaid before some group photos. 

With every wedding the details and getting ready portions of the days are where most of my favorites from the album come from.

The Venue: Belle Garden Estate

Belle Garden Estate is located right outside of Roanoke,Virginia and is a stunning, historic wedding venue with beautiful brick exterior and a stunning, elegant bridal suite and guest bedroom. Known for its views of the blue ridge mountains, private grounds, classic Southern charm, and stunning outdoor or indoor reception options, it is truly the perfect fit for any type of wedding. 

For Rachel and Zeke, Belle Garden was the perfect choice to complement the floral focus of their day. Their florist Florals By Kimberly was able to take the standing arch and elevate it with a show stopping arrangement of florals. It was the perfect pop of purple, blue, and pink against the fleeting Fall colors of the mountains. 

A Moment For The Bride and Groom

With all the stunning details we have listed out, you would have guessed right that the portraits from this beautiful day were stunning. Rachel and Zeke were nervous about their portraits because before our engagement session they had never taken photos together. They also have quite a height difference which they felt would make their photos awkward, when in fact these two were natural in front of the camera. Their natural joy and love for each other kept them excited for more photos throughout the day. 

The Reception Fun For This Wedding At Belle Garden Estate

Like many other aspects of this stunning wedding day, Rachel and Zeke stepped out of the traditional wedding reception party vibes and focused more on the family aspect of the day. Instead of a long list of party songs, they spent time playing the exciting shoe game where the DJ leads the couple in a number of questions to see who knows who the best. This group absolutely loved playing this game, then they enjoyed some tasty desserts from their dessert bar and light dancing. 

 The wedding reception at Belle Garden Estate is nothing short of magical, seamlessly blending rustic charm with sophisticated elegance. After exchanging vows in the venue’s lush garden or under a charming arbor, guests are welcomed into the estate’s stunning indoor reception space. The rustic barn, with its exposed wooden beams and warm, inviting atmosphere, offers a beautiful contrast to the venue’s outdoor beauty, providing an intimate yet expansive setting for dining and dancing.
