A day full of sunshine, yellow flowers, and the biggest smiles. Danielle and Chris’s summer East View Farms Wedding was one that was truly unforgettable. From our very first call I was obsessed with these two and the just endless energy they put out and the love they shared for each other. More than their love for each other was their love for family and friends which made for a day full of emotion, joy, and endless memories I had the pleasure of capturing for these two to look back on for years to come. In this blog post, we’ll take you through everything that made this East View Farms Wedding for Danielle and Chris a standout wedding.

The Venue and Details 

Nestled in the heart of Waynesboro, Virginia East View Farms is more than just a venue—it’s where dream wedding days can come to life. Surrounded by sweeping landscapes of the Shenandoah Valley, rustic modern charm, and modern amenities, this enchanting farm offers couples the perfect blend of elegance and country comfort. Whether you’re envisioning a romantic outdoor ceremony under the open sky or a cozy barn reception filled with warm, glowing lights, East View Farms provides the ideal setting for your big day.

For Danielle and Chris they chose to bask in the June sun and show off their colorful blue and yellow color palette in every detail. The ladies sported the popular baby blue for their bridesmaid dresses and the fellas walked in style with their royal blue suits, that were all tied together with Danielle perfect blue shoes. 

The Joyful Anticipation: Getting Ready at East View Farms

The most candid part of the wedding day, the prep time! This wedding day morning was filled with excitement, laughter, and heartfelt moments. Danielle’s day began in the charming bridal suite, a beautifully designed space, perfect for makeup artistry and pre-wedding portraits. 

Surrounded by her closest friends and family, Danielle was able to enjoy those tender moments—slipping into her gown, exchanging heartfelt exchanges, and sharing laughs over mimosas. The air is filled with anticipation as final touches were made, from perfectly placed cathedral veil pins to a spritz of her signature perfume.

Meanwhile, Chris and the groomsmen gathered in the groom suite, filled with camaraderie and lighthearted fun. From adjusting ties to sharing a celebratory toast, these moments are just as meaningful, showcasing the bond between the groom and his loved ones. Chris got to show off with some special moments with his mom and then show off his swagger in some portraits with his best guys.

The Couple’s Story 

These two fell in love in the mountains of West Virginia during their time as Mountaineers at WVU. They share a true, deep love for music and travel, spending their years connecting over their favorite songs and new places to visit. But at the end of the day Danielle’s love for cats and Taylor Swift is what tied this day together for everyone. 

While Danielle and Chris chose to skip a first look we got to really focus on their story as the sun dipped below the horizon, East View Farms transformed into a dreamscape for wedding portraits. We laughed, danced, and spent a lot of time playing with Danielle’s cathedral veil to make some of the most amazing, light filled portraits before heading inside for the evening.

The Dreamy Outdoor Ceremony 

The perfect settling, an extra warm June afternoon, with soft sunlight filtering through the trees and a gentle breeze carrying the scent of blooms and open fields. This was the perfect background setting for Danielle and Chris as they celebrated their love surrounded by friends and family. Every detail of their outdoor ceremony was a testament to their love story with heartfelt vows, full of memories from their years together. 

The Reception 

After the perfect heartfelt ceremony and dreamy golden hour photos amongst the mountains, the celebration truly came alive for Danielle and Chris. With East View Farms rustic barn charm and spacious outdoor areas, this venue presented the best stage for a night filled with joy, laughter, and dancing under the stars.

The reception space was beautifully lit with the large open barn doors which also allowed for the most enjoyable summer breeze. As guests enjoyed a delectable dinner and heartfelt toasts, the cutting of cake that was fully dedicated to the intense love they have for their furry companions at home.

The moment the DJ hit play, the dance floor became the heart of the celebration. From the couple’s romantic first dance to energetic group numbers screaming all of Danielle’s favorite Taylor Swift songs got everyone moving. The evening was an unforgettable mix of love and liveliness.
