The Virginia heat may pack a punch, but Amelia and Nathan’s Summer West Manor Estate wedding was nothing short of magical. From sunlit gardens to eye-catching indoor spaces, every corner of the estate sets the stage for unforgettable moments. For this couple their wedding vision was of intimate moments, small details, and quiet romance. The day began with joyful preparation in the spacious vintage style bridal suite, where the bridal party shared laughs and excitement. Then we took a breath of sweet summer air for their outdoor ceremony that was picture-perfect and emotion filled from every seat in the crowd. Then we carried the night out with dreamy golden hour portraits, devoured a delightful dinner, laughed endlessly through speeches, and danced the night away. Now let’s dive into the details!

A charming, elegant venue nestled in the small town of Forest, Virginia, West Manor Estate is a secluded wedding venue known for its timeless elegance and breathtaking landscapes. This historic estate boasts manicured gardens, rolling hills, and luxurious indoor spaces, offering the perfect blend of sophistication and natural beauty.
Whether you’re envisioning an open air, outdoor ceremony in the courtyard in front of the pavilion or a grand indoor ceremony in The Atrium, West Manor Estate provides an unforgettable setting for your special day. This venue is one where you can find a stunning backdrop for photos around every corner, my favorite being the stunning yellow textured wallpaper, vintage staircase, and huge columns through the front door.
In my 100+ weddings West Manor Estate is a true hidden gem with the perfect privacy and closeness to amenities, this timeless venue provides the perfect blend of elegance and natural beauty for couples looking to say “I do” surrounded by warmth and charm.

In addition to the adorable patterns of the wallpaper throughout the main house, the adorable mirror filled bridal suite, and open floor plan of the venue, Amelia and Nathan’s wedding was the most beautiful blend of blues, whites, and greenery. This timeless color palette brought a serene and sophisticated vibe to every detail of the day, from the ceremony décor to the reception tablescapes.
Amongst the warm summer sun the bridal party embraced the elegant, blue palette beautifully, with flowing dresses of various styles, while groomsmen complemented the look with grey suits and greenery-adorned boutonnieres. The bride’s bouquet was a stunning arrangement of white roses, greenery, and perfect pops of blue by the ever talented Bella Rosa Florals.

Two words that just continue to come to my mind when describing Amelia and Nathan’s wedding day are elegance and joy. I think throughout the entire day these two never stopped smiling and in each moment they stayed calm and present. From our initial phone call to the wedding day they always kept their focus on time with their guests and their love exchanged to each other. No huge over the top party and despite what their classy portraits may show off they did not want to feel overwhelmed with photos, so we provided ample time and breaks to have the most magical wedding day to start the next chapter of these two and their love story.

The morning of this wedding showcased excitement and heartfelt moments as Amelia and her bridesmaids prepped their hair and makeup for the day. The charming bridal suite provided the perfect setting for laughter, mimosas, and belting out notes to all their favorite songs. The bridesmaids, dressed in personalized robes from the bride herself, shared smiles and created joyous energy for the day. All while Nathan and his groomsmen traded jokes and exchanged some beers as they suited up for the day.
Once everyone was suited up for the day we experienced some of the sweetest moments between Amelia and her bridesmaids for the final reveal of her dress with wedding hair and makeup. Then with lots of sweet tears we set up a first look with Amelia’s dad. And as you look through the photos you will see we had some pretty cute peepers behind us. Then we were off for the big event.

On a warm summer day at the picturesque West Manor Estate, the couple celebrated their union with a heartfelt, God-focused ceremony. Surrounded by the lush greenery of the estate and their closest loved ones, they exchanged vows that spoke of faith, love, and commitment. The sun shone brightly, adding a natural glow to the sacred setting, while the gentle rustle of the trees provided a peaceful backdrop. The officiant’s words centered on the couple’s shared devotion and the blessings of their union under God. It was a beautiful moment of reflection, love, and divine presence, marking the start of their journey together.

With the huge help of the amazing in house Entwined events team the wedding reception came alive with joy-filled dancing that carried the celebration late into the night. With the help of a little Hokie love and chanting, guests of all ages flooded the dance floor, their laughter and energy contagious. The newlyweds shared their first dance in the middle of their guests and followed by a tasty meal that guests couldn’t stop going back for seconds. Then the party transitioned as the sunset to the Atrium which presented the most beautiful open setting for dancing. The music pulsed, shoes were kicked off, and hands clapped in rhythm as everyone joined in, creating unforgettable memories. The air was electric with love and joy, perfectly capturing the spirit of the celebration all night long.

So now that you know this is the perfect venue for you and you’re ready to book, let’s take a quick moment for what’s to come. A venue and date will now kickstart the rest of your wedding planning and vendor bookings. There is a lot of different opinions for what it takes to have a good wedding, firstly the goal of the day is for you to celebrate the combining of two lives into one. You can do it on any budget, but on average it is most common to expect to spend between $20,000-$50,000 Here’s a general estimate of what couples might spend for a wedding at House Mountain Inn, based on a 100–150 guest event:
Estimated Total for 100 Guests:
Low End: ~$30,000
High End: ~$80,000+
Keep in mind these are general ranges— West Manor Estate simplifies as much as possible in partnership with Entwined Events.

At West Manor Estate, with the help of the amazing in house staff from Entwined Events they are going to ensure you have everything you need for your dream day in terms of space and support. When you book the bridal suite, they are going to have an on-site attendant there to be by your side. But what happens next? The venue gives you the freedom to bring in your own licensed vendors, outside of catering/bar/cake so you can create your uniquely you wedding day.
So while this blog is centered around the amazing day you can have by booking this venue. It would be a major disservice to you as a wedding photographer from Lynchburg to not remind you that while a venue backdrop is a vital part of the day, the rest of the magic does not happen without a top shelf vendor team. You will need help laying out the timeline for the day, delegating who will execute the timeline tasks and where, the wedding day dream look does not happen without the help of a talented HMUA, a florist will be the perfect part of making the venue unique to your personal color palette, catering and your selected dj are what will be controlling the environment of the day, and all the big memories of the day will soon be forgotten without the help of photo and video to freeze those moments to be lived again and again for years to come.
