Couple Explores Riverside for Engagement Photos at Greenhill Park

There is simply nothing I love more than adventuring around the blue ridge mountains with my couples which is exactly what we decided to do for Samantha and Charlie’s Spring Greenhill Park Engagement Session! After a few different reschedules because of a very rainy Spring season we were so excited to pull up to the session with clears sky and a beautiful sunny glow across the river.

In the early Spring months it can be hard to find an abundance of tree cover or beautiful foliage, however it often opens up a whole new world to explore of exciting spots that you would never know exist after everything blooms. Which is exactly how we found our first spot that is now a staple of mine when meeting couples at this Roanoke, Virginia adventure hotspot! So when picking your engagement session location this is proof of why you should always keep an open mind and trust that down every half mowed path could be a stunning riverside oasis that creates just the right amount of privacy!

After a little adventuring by the riverside, we then headed to the picture perfect open field Greenhill Park is known for. Here we took some time to get a little more comfortable and free spirited with a lot of dancing and a few piggy back rides. Then we took a quick break for an outfit change and grabbed a tasty bottle of champagne to pop! This was extra special to watch these two sharing a glass together because they love to spend time together sharing a glass of wine at lots of exciting wineries across Virginias Wine Region.

I have absolutely adored the process of getting to know Samantha and Charlie during the wedding planning timeline. They are full of excitement and so much joy for their wedding day which really takes the job of being their wedding photographer to the next level. I can not wait to capture their September wedding day at The Vinton War Memorial.
